UtmoLight says the full area efficiency of these modules is 16.1% which is a 'global record' for the largest and most powerful perovskite module. In 2025, it targets to achieve a mass production efficiency of 20% with continuous improvements.
Therefore, the areas of perovskite solar modules (PSMs) prepared by the spin-coating method are usually less than 100 cm 2 [19, 32, 33]. Hence, scalable deposition technologies with high efficiency, excellent reproducibility, easy controllability, and low operating costs are key factors for practical PSMs.
The perovskite precursor industry has not yet had the market demand to scale-up production to meet multi-GW production of perovskite solar cells, and less so for reagents specific to wide-band-gap perovskite production as is used in our tandem module design.
